What is the difference between a serrated edge and a smooth edge?

The serrated blade is ideal for cutting hard crusts (e.g. bread, rolls) because the serrations protect the soft interior. The smooth edge has a smooth, straight blade for precise, even cuts in meat, fish, vegetables and fruit.

What is a humpback knife suitable for?

The humpback knife is your specialist for all baked goods with a hard crust and soft interior. The curved shape and hollow blade ensure that the crust is not crushed and the knife cuts effortlessly through bread, rolls and baguettes.

What materials are breakfast & humpback knives made of?

High-quality models are made of stainless steel. The handles are ergonomically shaped and made of real wood (cherry, beech, walnut, olive, padouk, smoked oak) from our in-house joinery. Naturally sustainable!

How do I look after my breakfast & humpback knife properly?

Always clean your knife by hand with water and avoid the dishwasher. Dry it immediately and regularly treat the blade and handle with knife oil to protect the sharpness and material. Wooden handles should be wiped with a soft cloth afterwards.

Can I personalize my breakfast knife or humpback knife?

Yes, we offer laser engraving on the blade. This turns your breakfast knife & humpback knife into a personalized gift - name, date, funny saying - whatever you want.
